R. By becoming a barter member of Boumcommerce.com, you increase your buying power and keep your cash flow. Barter is a tool to grow your business while promoting any of your products or services. In other words, when you pay with products and services, your cash stays in your bank account.

R. There is a minimal cash yearly membership fee. There is also a one-time initial trade fee, by which we simply debit your barter account in BOUM trade dollars. This means you agree to provide a small value worth of goods or services to the other members of the exchange. The reason we do this is to provide liquidity within the trade exchange. We must have trade dollars to operate and to offset the cost of mixers and traders’ events, etc. You may easily earn those dollars back when we bring you new customers, or by providing referrals to Boumcommerce.com. It adds up real quick.

R. Each barter member has a trade account (similar to a combined checking and savings account). Each time you make a sale, we credit your account for the full value of the sale (at your customary retail price). When you make a purchase, we debit your account for the corresponding amount of the purchase. It’s that simple.

R. No. One advantage of the barter exchange is that it allows members to use trade dollars with any of the other members in the exchange. This gives you the opportunity to get what you need and to shop competitively. We encourage members to look for the best value the same as when they pay cash.

R. No. There are no monthly fees to pay for. Your yearly membership fee is used to keep your account active, cover administrative costs for newsletters, new member updates, and internet maintenance.

We only charge a commission when you complete a barter trade.  In other words, our responsibility is to bring you customers and then help you purchase or buy the things you need in the barter exchange. Only at that point do we earn our performance based small commission. Your monthly statements will clearly details the percentage cash commission charged for items you purchased or sold.

R. The Federal Government passed a law in 1982 to legitimize barter activities and recognizes barter exchanges as a third party record keeper. Like any cash transaction, it is important to add to the value of the products or services sold to a member the corresponding tax percentages of your province and charge it to the buyer. The same obligation goes for the other end of the deal. The buying member must pay the taxes as if it was a regular cash transaction. Barter is consider income and must be declared. Barter spent on personal items is considered a taxable benefit, similarly, barter spent on businesses items can be written off.

R. Yes. Credit worthy members can purchase goods & services in the exchange above and beyond the balance in their trade account. Depending on the size and type of your business you may qualify for a "line of credit." if approved by Boumcommerce.com, there is no interest or other charges - it is just another one of our many valuable benefits. You simply agree to earn those dollars back by actively selling to other barter members. The extension of credit is a valuable tool that benefits all members by promoting a higher level of trading activity throughout the entire exchange.

R. That is what’s so unique with Boumcommerce.com.  We will do everything possible to find the products or services that you need or looking for as quick as possible (usually within the same week). We will put you in contact with your seller and help you complete your transaction in an efficient way.

R. Yes. Boumcommerce.com. and the member will fix a BOUM dollar exchange limit right from the start. BoumCommerce.com even administers your account. When you reach your credit limit, we will cease to refer you clients and put your account on hold until in return, you start buying. To make it successful, it needs to work in both directions. Every member will benefit from it.

R : Yes of course. It is important to understand that not all of your business will be done in barter. We think that approximately 15% of your total business should be done via barter.
